Workshop "Call PRACE Tier-0" on October 4th, 2018

On October 4th, 2018 Cenaero organized a workshop on the topic "how to write a good proposal to PRACE Tier-0 calls".

The workshop was dedicated to share the experience of Belgian applicants and of  the PRACE reviewing process officer with potential new users. Thirty attendees from major Belgian  universities participated to the workshop, mostly new potential applicants. A fruitful questions session followed the presentations.

PRACE, the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe, provides access to Europe's world class High Performance Computing Research Infrastructure (RI), enabling scientists and researchers from academia and industry to carry out complex and excellent experiments and simulations that address society's grand challenges.

PRACE activities are mainly:

  • Access to computational resources
    • PRACE provides HPC resources to researchers and scientists from academia and industry through Preparatory Access (code scaling and optimization) and/or through Project Access (scientifically excellent, large-scale, computationally intensive projects). SMEs are invited to apply through the tailored SHAPE programme.
    • For Project Access, application can only be done when Calls are open and applications must be submitted by the published closing date and time. Proposals for Preparatory Access can be submitted continuously. Click here to receive an email alert for news.
