Resources reservation
Beyond parts of the machine contractually dedicated, users having access to the infrastructure can request resources reservation under the conditions described hereafter. A resources reservation must be exceptional and must be motivated.
Reservations for management of deadlines
- Purpose: Matching an approaching deadline
- Request procedure
- Requires a motivation as reserved resources are accounted at 100%:
- validation by CECI for academic research project (Cat 1);
- validation by the project manager or principal investigator.

- Requires a motivation as reserved resources are accounted at 100%:
- Granting conditions
- Requests are handled in the order they were submitted to Cenaero
- They are granted for as long as:
- reservations represent less than 4320 cores;
- the reservation requires less than 311 040 hours.cores;
- the reservation duration is less than 10 days.
- The reservation renewal is dependent on its usage and its motivation.
Reservations for large resources
- Purpose : Performing computations that go beyond applicable limits (e.g. maximum number of cores for a job)
- Request procedure

- Minimum 30 calendar days of prior notice before the next quarterly maintenance window
- Requires
- the validation of the project manager or principal investigator (reserved resources are accounted at 100%) and
- the approval of the User Committee

- Granting conditions
- Requests are handled in the order they were submitted to Cenaero
- Scheduled just after the quarterly maintenance window for a maximum of 18 hours beyond it
- The beneficiaries committed in producing a short report of about two pages describing the tests performed and the results obtained
